چکیده
Abstract The purpose of this paper is to study the behavior magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) wave modes that propagate in compressible magnetic flux tubes with an elliptical cross section embedded a environment. dispersion relation describes MHD permitted tube solved numerically. Distortion spatial structure purely real eigenmodes from well-known circular model has been considered. It studied under both photospheric and coronal conditions. shown (i) solutions form even Mathieu functions are more sensitive value eccentricity than odd functions; (ii) if ellipticity increases, sausage mode ( m = 0) cannot be easily identified; (iii) correspond fluting 3) can misinterpreted as kink 1) due their similarities. In contrast polarized along major axis strongly depend on tube, surface practically unaffected by ellipticity. Several examples pores sunspots have visualized. obtained approximation cylindrical symmetry agreement previous studies.

An Upper Bound Solution for Analysis of Twist Extrusion Process with Elliptical Die Cross-section
Twist extrusion process is a rather new route to produce highly strained materials. In this process, severe plastic deformation is applied by large shear strains. In current article, required energy for twist extrusion by use of admissible velocity field together with the upper bound technique is predicted. The proposed model is capable of considering the effect of various parameters such as di...
متن کاملDynamics of Magnetic Flux Tubes and the Solar Dynamo
A magnetic flux tube is treated as a body in addition to a confined field. As a field, both the cyclonic convection (α-effect) and differential rotation (Ω-effect) play a role. As a body, the tube experiences not only a buoyant force, but also a dynamic pressure of downflows above the tube. When these two dynamic effects are incorporated into the αΩ dynamo equation by adding to it two diffusion...
متن کاملMagnetic-diffusion-driven shear instability of solar flux tubes
The dynamics of the partially ionized solar photosphere and chromosphere can be described by a set of equations that are structurally similar to the magnetohydrodynamic equations, except now the magnetic field is no longer frozen in the fluid but slips through it due to non-ideal magnetohydrodynamic effects which are manifested as Ohm, ambipolar and Hall diffusion. Macroscopic gas motions are w...
متن کاملPancreatic cross-section: an elliptical model.
BACKGROUND Pancreatic surgery has developed over the last 60 years. A pancreaticoduodenectomy of the pancreatic head and duodenal papilla is the most common procedure. The most popular pancreatic cross-section site of a pancreaticoduodenectomy is the isthmus of the gland. The pancreatic isthmus anatomical configuration is still being considered. STUDY DESIGN The authors propose a new parametr...
متن کاملFlow instabilities of magnetic flux tubes III. Toroidal flux tubes
Context. The stability properties of toroidal magnetic flux tubes are relevant for the storage and emergence of magnetic fields in the convective envelope of cool stars. In addition to buoyancyand magnetic tension-driven instabilities, flux tubes are also susceptible to an instability induced by the hydrodynamic drag force. Aims. Following our investigation of the basic instability mechanism in...
